Art at Kahoa

We have been very busy in art classes.
Kinder- working on primary and secondary color, following directions, rainbow science, gardens, line direction, shapes, gourd paintings, textures, clay pinch pots with Miss Baker(our student teacher)
First-fish illustration, watercolors, self portraits in the future, clay
Second- sea turtles, color, watercolor, secondary colors, clay pieced dishes, Chihuly inspired plastic chandeliers, radial designs
Third- Australian dot paintings, symbolism, color, Day of the Dead calacas(mini clay skeleton armatures) and calaveras(larger-than-life skull studies) Vincent VanGogh studies, portraits and landscapes
Fourth- Rousseau studies, watercolor, reversal of alphabet letters, printmaking hanko seal chop blocks, Japanese obis and kimonos, genre lessons
Fifth-Jungle Rousseau studies, clay ocarina whistles, colored pencil, subtractive drawing, genres
